Congressman Murphy Visits Clermont
On Sunday, October 11th at 10AM Representative Scott Murphy (NY 20th District) visited Clermont's Town Hall to meet local residents and discuss their questions and concerns.
The meeting room was full, with the majority being Clermont residents. Rep. Murphy was greeted and introduced by Supervisor Ray Staats and Councilman Chris Nolan, and gave a brief presentation of his work on the Agriculture and Armed Services committees along with his views on a wide range of topics including jobs and health care.
He then held a discussion session, answering questions from both Democrats and Republicans in attendance, including Town Council candidates Bob Desmond and Judy Neary.
