Town Board - Bid Opening for Highway Garage

Bids were opened for the Highway Garage addition on Thursday, October 1, 2009, 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall in the presence of Raymond Jurkowski, Town Engineer, Raymond Staats, Supervisor and Dianne O’Neal, Town Board. Also present for the opening were Mr. Coon of Coon & Son, Ghent, New York, Ronald Goodman, Clermont, of Rondack Construction Service, Red Hook, New York, William Cole of B & T General Contractors, Germantown (Clermont) New York and Elizabeth Radell.

Raymond Jurkowski opened the bids for Overhead Doors:

Custom Overhead Doors $3,353.40

Madsen Overhead Doors $3,329.00

Dutchess Overhead Doors $3,271.00

The lowest bid received from Dutchess Overhead Doors for $3,271.00.

Raymond Jurkowski opened the bids for the Highway Garage Addition:

Coon & Son – Ghent, New York

Base $ 112,838.00

Alternate 1 – blown insulation $ 13,000.00

Alternate 2 – Selective Demolition

Interior Walls, etc. $ 16,400.00

Rondack Construction Service

Red Hook, New York

Base $206,268.00

Alternate 1 – blown insulation $ 13,400.00

All bids are signed and Certificate of Non-collusion has been signed.

References will be checked for B & T General Contractors, low bidder, and recommendations will be made to the Town Board.
