CLERMONT TOWN BOARD

BUDGET WORKSHOP

SEPTEMBER 19, 2008

The Clermont Town Board held a budget workshop on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. at the Town Hall. Those present were Supervisor Raymond Staats, Councilwoman O'Neal, Councilman Jones, Councilwoman Lent and Councilman Nolan. Brian Fitzgerald, Accountant for the Town was also present.

Discussed increase in assessors salary due to Data Collection in 2009. Proposed increasing assessor's salary by 3% to $12,360. Proposed allocating funds in the amount of $20,000 for data collection.

Discussed breaking out costs in house for Brownfields and Highway Garage in the attorney account A1420.4. Cannot change back for 2007 and 2008. Will use 1420.41 for Brownfields and 1420.42 for Garage.

Proposed increase to the building account 1620.4 to cover anticipated rising fuel oil and electric costs. In 2009, the fuel oil will be broken out to 1620.41, electric to 1620.42. Proposed allocating funds for painting the Community House. Councilwoman Lent would like to see these funds used from Con Ed fund for matching grants.

Proposing setting up Traffic Control funds - 3310.4 in the amount of $1,000.00 for replacement of traffic signs, as will be required over the next few years. The Highway fund will also be incurring some of this expense.

Will keep separate in house accounting of Garage fuel oil and electric, 5132.41 for fuel and 5132.42 for electric.

Supervisor Staats will be looking into setting aside funds in Social Services Home Relief 6140.4 for emergency fuel for residents.

$2000.00 Easter Egg Hunt

$1000.00 BBQ

$ 500.00 Election Day Dinner

$ 500.00 Holiday Program

A reserve account for Park Land Development will be setup for funds received from developers in lieu of developing a park within a development

The workshop was concluded at approximately 9:30 P.M.
